The "Tennis Committee" is a standing advisory committee created by the Leisure World Board of Directors. It shall consist of residents of the Community, representatives of Leisure World organizations, and management. Members are recommended by the president of each Mutual and appointed by the Chair of the Leisure World Board of Directors. The Committee shall: provide oversight of the operation and maintenance of existing and proposed tennis facilities. The Committee shall: develop and inform the Community of the rules for play and use of tennis facilities, and serve as liaison between the tennis players, management, and the Leisure World Board of Directors. The Committee shall: formulate for publication a program of tennis activities for the Community, including any restrictions on use of the facilities. The Committee shall: recommend a tennis fee schedule and review with management estimated income from such fees. The Committee shall: develop a budget to support the tennis program, including facility improvements or expansion to meet the needs of the Leisure World tennis players. The Committee shall: develop and maintain a roster of all residents interested in playing tennis. The Committee shall: work closely with other advisory committees, as appropriate, such as Education & Recreation, Community Planning, Landscape, and Budget & Finance. The Committee shall: prepare, as requested, reports to the Chairperson of the Board of Directors, outlining the committee’s status regarding the Community’s Strategic Plan, summarizing the committee’s accomplishments during the report period, and recommending areas of improvement and goals for the future. |
